Hatteras!

by Patrick on June 2, 2006

The last leg of my graduation break was a trip to Hatteras, North Carolina. A whole mess of friends and I rented a beach house on the Outer Banks. After a nice house party and night out at the Clarendon Bar & Grill, I piled some stuff into my car the next morning and embarked on a seven hour trip to North Carolina. The ride was long but I made good time I felt. It was really amazing how some strips of the Outer Banks had water on both sides. It was a really cool feeling.

The beach house was amazing. It was three floors, a whole mess of bedrooms, pool, hot tub, and a whole lot of great people to occupy it. The first night I arrived we all went on a ferry to nearby Ocracoke Island. We all had dinner at a local pub and it was a great night. We sang songs in the car and while waiting for the ferry. To others we prolly looked like a crazy bunch of kids.

The rest of the week included lots of beach, swimming, hot tub, drinking, and just chillaxing. It was the perfect way to end a whirlwind two weeks.

Coming back to work was really exciting. Now that I am a full-timer, there are a whole new slew of interns working at TMG. It makes it even cooler that there are more young people to hang out with and talk to.

This weekend I will be flying back to Massachusetts to see Kim graduate from CHS. I have been doing so much flying recently. I can not wait for the traveling to calm down so I can settle into Washington DC.
