Dawesome

I really want to sleep but I feel bad about not posting this week yet. Now can’t I feeling a similar guilt when I miss going to the gym? I was obviously feeling crapping on Friday but I felt oh so much better on Saturday. Doug and I went to the DC Auto Show and I had a lot of fun looking at all kinds of different cars. Doug imparted a lot of knowledge onto me on superchargers and brake over angles. GM had some standouts in their section of the show, but of course I’m biased. I was at the show earlier this week with my boss and he asked me which car I would take, I had it down to a Pontiac or Chevy model. It’s such a weird thing, a year ago I didn’t really car much about cars but now I am gaining an interest- thanks to work. I also didn’t see myself actually considering an American car, but then again things change as David Bowie says.
Ford had some weird concepts out there that made me realized why they are losing millions every day. The Airstream concept had interesting technology in it, but I didn’t like the look or color- reminded me of a sneaker. The new Interceptor looked cool but I’m on the fence, I didn’t like the interior styling. Jeep had a really cool trail ride where people could be a passenger in different Jeep vehicles as they climbed up artificial hills and forded pools of water. It was a good turnout in terms of manufacturers, I really like being able to see many different cars at once. I felt like I was window shopping for cars. Bill sent me this interesting article on the car salesmen and it just made me feel like they are really shady people.
After the show Doug and I went out with my old friend Patrice, who was in DC for an internship. We all went out to a nice sports bar in Adams Morgan, many drinks were consumed. It’s always nice to have old friends around. Talking about friends, Ben is back from his European excursion, I’ll have to catch up with him this weekend, which is Superbowl weekend, aka I hope the Bears beat the Colts.
New developments in my life- I get to drive another awesome company car this week, and I found out Guster will be at the 9:30 club next month. Two things I am looking very forward to.
