It’s hard to balance work and play. I feel like these past two weeks have been all about fun- and less me getting some videos done. On Wednesday I enjoyed a nice happy hour with some cool people at work at Whitlow’s. Thursday I enjoyed a night out on the town with Wendi, we ran in the rain to get food at Johnny Rockets and we then enjoyed some drinks at Old Glory on top of their roof. There was a nice view of the Abercrombie and Fitch store across the street. Oh AF- how you fit the Georgetown look and style.
The week was still in motion with craziness the rest of the weekend. Friday I went out with Ian to play some Laser Tag at Ultrazone. However this outing got out of hand really quick. Originally I called him up and asked if he wanted to check the place out with me- I heard that you could play all night for only $13. Ian asks if he could bring a few friends- of course I say yes. Wednesday he calls me up and asks how many people I can fit in my car- he invited 17 other people! Come Friday I get another call, everyone is meeting up at Tyson’s to eat. He asked if I could pick up two girls at the Pentagon City Mall, of course I say sure. So I’m driving to pick up these girls, who turn out to be very trendy Asian ladies. On the way to Tyson’s I’m making conversation and I ask how they know Ian. I was surprised when they said they don’t know him, they know his friend Marjorie. So now I’m driving friends of friends- I’m thinking who are these people he invited? They all turned out to be really cool people from AU. So with Ian, all of Ian’s universe, and I made our way to Ultrazone after food at Tyson’s and we had a really great time. Like one of his friends said, “It’s like real life halo!” After a night of running around in the dark, we all decided to have a late night (see previous post).
Even though I went to bed at 6 AM on Saturday, the rockstar in me wouldn’t have anything less than me going back out that night. Diana invited me out to Cleveland Park/Columbia Heights to a party that her co-worker was throwing. I was an instant hit when I arrived. Bill called me on my cell phone and everyone there were big 24 fans. If you don’t know my ring tone is the CTU ring from the show. Well Diana, Doug, and I had an awesome time playing flip cup and drinking a weird drink called Skippy. It was vodka, beer, and pink lemonade. It was actually good.
To conclude the weekend, I ran around to do some errands today, but not before spending some time at Rebecca’s pool- she is so good at giving awesome advice on my life. I also had the joy of also hanging out with Camille as well.
So touching back on earlier posts, I went out to Best Buy and bought two games for my Wii- Mortal Kombat, and The Bigs. I can’t wait to dig in.
Work? What work?
