Piece Of Shit Car

It has not been a great month for the Toyota Corolla. It’s nothing at all exciting as I have written before but it does a great job in transporting me from point A to point B. However the ride from my beach trip led to multiple incidents that would make anyone think, “why me?”

First signs of trouble occurred when some mysterious defrosting\AC issue led to a deluge of water to pour into the driver’s seat onto my feet. Luckily it was a hot day.

While my feet were getting soaked I heard a grinding noise that was coming from my front right tire. After pulling over it appears that part of the undercarriage was coming off and started to touch the tire. Nothing serious but none the less annoying.

The real trouble happened around 395 south with only 10 miles left to go. There was an accident on the other side of the road and traffic was slowing down ahead of me. So I started to slow down and the car in front of me must of beat me to it. I ended up getting into a small fender bender. It wasn’t really that bad at all but I couldn’t help but think of the great Dane Cook in this moment:

You go you start looking at the damage.
You start looking. Keep looking at each other and back at the damage
Will you please come and look at my damage with me sir?
If we look together maybe some magic will happen.
This is horri- feel this! This even feels damaged!
Do you have tools, can you fix this right now?
This is horribly- this feels so horribly damaged.
Even if I was blind I would know this is horribly damaged,
by the way it feels.

So now I have to put up with the whole insurance process and trying to get it all fixed. Just what I need- more reasons to bring my car to the shop.
