Everybody’s Working On The Weekend
For the next two-three weekends I will be flying to Massachusetts for either work or a wedding. Thank goodness it isn’t all work. Now things started out cool with my business trips back home. I had a chance to see family and friends and all was well. As trips increased I just started to hate the time suck that is traveling. Now I yearn for a full weekend without work or travel so I can actually work on my own personal projects and relax. As great it is to have the support of family back home- I just feel like I’m in limbo with all the work and traveling I’ve been doing. I feel like I need a vacation where all I do is sit in my house- the one place I haven’t been in for a couple of months. I visited FSC this weekend during Falcon Fest. I was in town on business and suddenly had a free night. I met up wth Kim and the family for dinner and a magic show.
Other things I did: Went to the Rays/Orioles game last Tuesday. I wanted the Rays to lose but they came back from a 3 run lead. As always I yelled to the players from my seats and got Brian Roberts to steal a base for me. It was easy- I just screamed, “Brian Roberts steal a base for me- you are on my fantasy team!” He stole one once he got on base. I am sure it wasn’t all me but I like to think I had a part in it. I also yelled at Melvin Mora and he gave me a look. Wednesday I went to Ben Folds with Hillary. It was fun and I will write more about it on DC Metblogs. Afterward we enjoyed some billiards at Recessions and now I owe her another round. Friday I went to Baltimore with the crew where Doug won a free happy hour at Mex Tequila Bar. All you can drink = good times. Things were much more chill compared to last time, oh let’s not talk about last time. Well it’s going to be more work until Thursday- then another flight in the big ol’ sky called life. Related posts: 1 comment to Everybody’s Working On The Weekend |
