Fantasy Football: Thankful For Titans

Daunte Culpepper wasn’t the only one playing football on Thanksgiving.

I got up early on Thanksgiving to play a little football on my own- 11 on 11 full tackle. I’m still hurting as we speak.

However I don’t think I’m hurting as much as Culpepper after the Titans defense sacked him 4 times, while also scoring an interception and 2 fumble returns in a 47-10 blowout. It was a good day to own the Titans defense. I happen to own them in a league but I am also playing against them in another league.

With a few football games already in the books for this week let’s take a look at where my teams stand coming into this Sunday.

TMG Sportsline League (9-3)

Pho Sho vs. Clarie’s Bears

I’m off to a good start thanks to 30 point performance from Tony Romo against the Seahawks. I’ll be watching the pre-game reports to see if Brandon Jacobs makes it in- otherwise I have to roll Larry Johnson for another week- and I hate Larry Johnson.

Yahoo! League (7-3-1)

Pho Shizzle vs. American Terrorists

I got whipped in the worst possible way last week thanks to Mike’s wise choice of playing Matt Cassel. Now he’s rolling over against other teams in an effort to get them into the playoffs- and try and beat me and Sean. Talk about playing spoiler- however I’m confident I got the team to take me deep into the playoffs. This week’s match should be no problem- playing the team that’s still starting Tom Brady- talk about giving up after Week 1.

Diet Yahoo! League (8-4)

Donte’s $37 Million vs. Emo Prairie Dogs

The two first place teams are playing each other this week in a fight that will help establish who’s going to be king of the ridiculously shallow league. I’m kicking myself in the ass for sitting Brian Westbrook in a game where he scored 4 TDs. What happened to his injury concerns? Apparently he should be good to go for my team for the rest of the season. I’m still off to a good start thanks to those Titans defense.

Well it’s great to be back in Massachusetts on a Sunday- I’ll be able to enjoy a Patriots game with some friends and not weirdos in a bar.
