I Miss Internet

by Patrick on November 23, 2008

Some people can’t live without food, water, or Heroes.

I can’t live without internet.

So you can imagine my life waiting for the November 25th- when I get  FiOS TV & Internet installed. I’ve never felt so disconnected.

I’ve gotten by with dragging my laptop to work and various third place candidates. But I cannot wait for the magical day I have internet back in my life… and TV won’t be too bad either.

But otherwise I love my new place! Here are some photos:

We also found a great new roommate to move in with us- her name is Caroline and she moves in next month. Sarah and I are looking forward to finally tying things up with the house, and besides internet, a roommate is another thing we can check off the list.

Now on to the rest of my life.

Tuesday I went out with the old roommates to the Heat/Wizards game. Once again the Wizards are setting me up for a season of disappointment. Things looked better when I went out with Carrie to the Rockets/Wizards game on Friday- but in the end the result of the same- a loss. Things went better afterward when Carrie and I checked out O’Sullivan’s- now I’ve been to every Irish bar in the neighborhood.

Last Night I went out to Science Club with Rebecca, Camille, Adam, Sarah, Ryan and others that wanted the “crazy night out.” All I can say is that it was a crazy night out. We originally were going to go to Shadow Room but the cover was ridiculous- figures when the place charges thousands to people that want to become “members.”

Science Club was small but cozy and had a more sophisticated feel that the typical dive bar. A classy place to go back to indeed.

It’s going to be a short week- work on Monday then back home for the holidays on Tuesday!
