Well this week we finished the run of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. After the final show on Saturday we had to strike the set and take items to the storage vault, it’s been a long time since I had to strike a set but it went rather well- we had everything out of the theatre in 90 minutes. The cast party featured a great spread from Red Hot and Blue as well as Big Daddy’s favorite dish: Hoppin’ John. We spent the night reciting lines and reminiscing about the run. While it wasn’t the wildest cast party I’ve been to, it was really nice to hang out with the cast and crew. I really enjoyed working with the Arlington Players and I hope to work with them again real soon.
Now that one show is over it’s on to the next one. I am the production stage manager in the Foundry Player’s production of The Rabbit Hole. The director I just worked with is a board member over there and recommended me for the job. I’m really excited to work on another show as I slowly start my DC theatre career.
This past weekend was pretty destructive, besides all the cast parties I took part in, I spent Sunday at Sarah & Ryan’s apartment watching episodes of Big Love. Between this and the episodes of United States of Tara I watched for work, I have to say that premium cable makes really good TV shows. Of course I do not need any more TV shows to watch right now.
Well I have a lot of blogs to catch up on before Oscar Sunday, so stay tuned for a flurry of reviews!

Would have loved to see the play. Loved the movie. Paul Newman was super cool and you just had to love the pandering sister-in-law. “Big Daddy is Coming”.

It was a great play- a long one, but a great one.
