I Need New Away Messages

230349076_cea71e0af5 Does anybody still use AIM anymore? It just seems to me the older I get, more people outgrow it or move on to the latest greatest thing- Gmail chat.

Well I still use AIM and lots of my friends still do too. What hasn’t changed besides all of that are my away messages. Besides a few standby actions (sleep, shower, gym.) I usually have a neat quote up whever I just want a general away message up. I don’t have a lot of away messages to choose from since I lost a bunch when I got a new laptop- so I think I need to get a few more.

Here are some of my current away messages:

“Those balls are nuts!”
-Caitlin McCarthy

LamFHockey: you are making me want to have sex, thankyouverymuch

“I thought I blew it with John on our second date when I accidentally slept with him and by accidentally I meant I totally let him seduce me.” – Sarah Frey

If you have an awesome quote you would like to contribute to my away message bank feel free to leave a comment- or drop in an online conversation with me soon!

  • I don’t use aim anymore, but my favorite away message was:
“Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, “It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.”

Wow that was really deep. I’ve never thought about beer like that, thanks for reading!
