While some bloggers are happy not to rush into anything right now, I read the most interesting post today from a blogger I recently started reading: Penelope Trunk.
She’s the creator of Brazen Careerist, another site I stumbled upon though some friends. She writes columns and blogs about career advice as well as social media. I really enjoy her advice as well as her say-it-as-it-is style of writing. Her topics knows no limits, which leads to her latest post on the new beau in her life… which happens to be about 18 years her younger.
I’m serious when I say I read her for her advice- she’s given me some sage advice that I hope will help me to become a better blogger. However this particular post I enjoyed for a little slice into her dating life. I can’t lie, I found it a little steamy and a little more lustier than usual. I was left a little hot and bothered after reading her tale of how she ended up hooking up with the 25-year old boy. I was so captivated by the storyline that I was happy that it spilled over to her twitter feed.
There are a lot of blogs I read out there, but I think she is the first blogger that will get tagged under, “girls I think are hot.” Looking at some YouTube interviews of her I think she’s pretty cool, and looking at some photos of her I have to say that she is a really beautiful woman.
Her story also made instant headlines with my friend Katie, whom we have a strange bond. We often find ourselves joking and talking about cougars and cougar stories (like that time I had those teachers hit on me.) So when I read this post the first thing I had to do was send it her way. When I sent her the post she had this to say, “Why not? When you get pass a certain age, it’s not a factor anymore. It’s the way society thinks that bogs everyone down. Get it while you can LOL.”
So there- I said it. I think Penelope Trunk is hot. And as a fellow 25 year old, I fully applaud the current boy in her life. Onto the bigger question she poses in the post, I honestly feel like the boy is half taking advantage of her position in order to advance his career. I give her credit on being a tad cautious with her roladex.

I applaud the guy, too. Though I’m not so convinced that he wants to take advantage. Doesn’t seem like he’d avoid an opportunity, but it also didn’t seem like he was pressing at all.

Oh ya I don’t think it was premeditated but the thought may have crossed his mind after scoring the big one.
