Yesterday was the first day I got to grill this year. It’s always a special meal when it’s the first one grilled for the summer.

If you know me, then you know that I can’t cook. I am very quick and easy with my meals. Once it gets warm enough outside, I’ll probably cook all my meals on the grill. I was happy to see my new place came with a propane grill or else I’d be looking for one right about now. When it’s cold out I’ll cook all my meal on the broiler. Can you detect a pattern of laziness? I will toss something on the grill/oven go away for a few minutes then come back when it’s done. I don’t like hovering around, waiting for things to cook- so I’ll check e-mail while it happens. I like to multi-task.

So I tossed a couple of strip steaks on the grill last night and they came out all right, but I know I got an entire summer of grilling various foods to get things right.

But then again I can’t really cook.

I need a yard. Grilling in my living room just doesn’t have the same “fire-death-avoiding” appeal.

I have the lamest grill ever. It’s so tiny that it takes an hour to cook one burger, but damn they taste good.

f.B. – You don’t have a balcony like structure? How about the roof of your building? Cool people in movies do it all the time!

JP – I applaud you for watching all 80 hours of the draft. I really love it when everyone just boos at the end because the picks are taking too long.

Maxie – Do you have the George Foreman? I could use one of those…

    LiLu – I’m not surprised that you can’t cook…

Alice – Really, then I’m glad I never moved away from houses…

Very nice to hear sir. Grilling is the rite of passage into the summer. Especially since I was able to fire up my new grill, it is a great feeling.
