The OBX 2009: The Games We Play

Even when you are on the beach you have a daily routine:

Wake-up after sleeping in
Make breakfast/re-hydrate
Go to the beach and get tan/play volleyball/practice your Aquaman impression
Lunch
Repeat step 3
Dinner
Drink til 3-4 AM

That being said we try and mix things up a little with step 7. Sunday we had an 80′s prom; last night we went to Howard’s Pub (an annual Ocracoke tradition); and tonight we’re having a pool party & bonfire.

There’s also a regular rotation of games we typically play late into the night:

Beer Pong & Flipcup: typically happens on the first and last nights on the beach
Asshole: We play with homemade creations that the Asshole has to wear
Fuck the Dealer: I recently found out how bad the game can be… for the dealer…
Drunken Jenga: Our favorite, it often leads to outrageous moments and memories, like last night I was on all fours with a beer can stuffed into my mouth
Thumper: The new game we’ve started to play- hand gestures are always fun

What are your favorite drinking games?

All of those are great, but I would add Up and Down the River, Kings, and Strip Asshole (don’t ask) to the list.

It totally is. Especially when everyone is wasted and someone thinks its a good idea to make it a rule that everytime you play doubles, you have to remove an article of clothing. Uh…yeah. The ridiculous things we do while at the beach on vacation.
