Yesterday I spied Elizabethany’s post on Chris Brown’s apology to the public that he released this past Monday:
If you don’t know why he’s apologizing you can see why over here. It’s clear that he’s reading a prepared statement, so I’m personally on the fence if he’s sincerely sorry or not. I also had some other thoughts while watching it:
- “My attorney has advised me not to speak out…” until we write something for you to read. Considering it’s July and the event happened in February, what took so long? Right when the event had cooled off this apology is sure to bring it back to the forefront.
- “I accept full responsibility…” always a good move, it’s not an apology unless you accept full responsibility.
- “I tried to live my life in a way that makes those around proud of me- and until recently I thought I was doing a pretty good job.” This line strikes me because it sounds like it’s something he wrote himself- no fancy PR speak here.
- “I can only ax ask and hope that you forgive me please.” Right after this line there is a about a 4 frame dissolve, looks like they had to cut down for time? Wonder what else he said…
- “…so that I’m truly worth the word, “Role Model.” Do you consider the guy that made this video a role model? I hope my kid learns how to hang out with T-Pain and stare at booty!
