Family Guy Creates Cleveland Show Spinoff

I saw ran across this promo for a new show on Fox this fall. It looks like Cleveland from Family Guy is getting his own show that will be called The Cleveland Show. The show has impressed Fox to the point that it’s committing to a 35 episodes already. Pretty big commitment for show that hasn’t even seen the light of day yet.

So Seth McFarlane is certainly taking over Sunday Nights on Fox, with Family Guy and American Dad already following The Simpsons.

I think it’s funny that Cleveland started in New England and moved to Virginia in the Spin-Off- I did the same thing.

So what do you think about this spin-off?

Since I’ve already seen the first complete episode i can say that it’s funny but does not quite live up to the level of comedy that Family Guy has already established. It tends to go along the same obscure sense of humor that Seth mcfarlane seems to have. I think it will do well because of the immense following that family guy has already created (including syndication).

  • I actually think it’s ok but I doubt it’s longevity. I think American Dad is better compared to this.
