Fair enough. And you’re probably right that neither of us would really want to hang out with a guy who’s writing a screenplay about vampires. But also, the types of people who sign up to be on a show like The Real World, may not be the most interesting people to hang out with on a regular basis.

I believe you when you say you’re not actually out to get in on the action. I appreciate your “journalistic point of view” as opposed to a more stalker like obsession. I just think the irony of your not wanting to get all involved, when in fact you already have had a cast member recognize you from repeat encounters, is kind of amusing.

I think you have to see the spectrum of obsession to really understand how normal I really am in this. I’ve yet to stalk them outside their house (people do that) or attempt to see them multiple times a week. Trust me there are lots of other people out there that are more obsessed than me. Just read the story I’m writing on one of them this week.

In reality now that I’ve seen these folks in action I don’t think I’d ever hang out with any of these people- nor do I really want to. Trust me when I say there’s lots of people that want to get in that house and I’m not one of them.

I do enjoy reading your exciting encounters with TRW and while a part of me is obviously jealous of your new BFF Real Worlder, Josh, I do kind of think you’re being modest with your “non-obsession.” You claim to not go out of your way to stalk down the cast, and yet you can immediately pull up their exact location at the push of a button and then meet up with them. It’s not a bad thing of course, that you are “so D.C.” and knowledgeable and cool and all that.

While the idea of meeting people who are on TV always makes me giddy, (I know, I’m a sucker.) it kind of seems lame and extra-fake to go after the cast time and time again, just to see them. You know, “see and be seen.” But then again, if the option to see the cast “in action” was readily available, I guess I’d probably take advantage of that, too. )
