Tasting The Rainbow
Distillers like Absolut and Smirnoff have vodka in about every imaginable flavor (did you know there’s a Banana flavored vodka? Now that’s a vodka I want to try!) However there’s one flavor that hasn’t been developed to my surprise: Skittles. I was instantly hooked when I saw the Lifehacker post, and I gave it a tried as a farewell gift for Sarah. My first batch came out all-right, granted I didn’t actually get to try it since it was a gift. The vodka wasn’t as filtered as it should be since I was really impatient about waiting for the infused mixture to strain. Next time I have some free time I’ll definitely be making another batch, but I just want to say it’s a neat project for your next party and/or drinking occasion. Skittles vodka! I can’t decide whether that sounds yummy, or weird.
My parents used to call BR “31 Flavors.” They never said Baskin Robins for some reason. Maybe it was marketed that way at one time – I have no idea.

I didn’t know BR was called 31 flavors for the longest time- always made watching Ferris Bueller’s Day off so confusing.

Next time when filtering vodka, run it through a Brita filter. You can turn the cheapest swill into something epic!

I heard of this- but filtering wouldn’t it muck up a filter to use Brita to get rid of gunk leftover from an infusion?

I haven’t tried it yet, but the description of the flavor is intriguing.

Wait, “black tea and elderflower?” Really that’s what Boston tastes like?

I’m not saying I’d try this if you showed up with it. But I’d try this.

My friends had Elderflower liquor which we tried. It was somewhere between tasting like medicine and being subtly sweet.
