You no longer have someone who enjoys the same bands, and those things are basically tainted with memories that can be painful. Your favorite things now become associated with someone else, which makes them hard to be your favorite things anymore. Maybe enjoying things on your own isn't so bad. In fact, up until this year, I've had the same person to go with to all of the concerts that I've been to (I think I've been going at least once a year since 2001). This year she couldn't go so I took my fiance. To me, live music is something to be shared.
