The Shiz My Cast Says
By the way if anybody wants to come with- just send me a message. Rehearsals have been nothing but hard work but we often find moments of levity, if you follow me on Twitter, I’ve started to post a Rocky Horror Rehearsal Photo of the day. This past weekend we filmed some cut scenes that will be featured in the show, including some steamy shots that left us hot, bothered, and feeling awkward. All I’ll say is I’ll never hear a Dr. Seuss story the same way again. So much like the way I wrote up The Shiz My Family Says, I’d like to show you how rehearsals roll LiLu style, with The Shiz My Cast Says. Upon finding out she needs to be felt up by Rocky in a number Amy: “I’m sorry my breasts aren’t fabulous tonight.” Which leads to.. Mike: “So how long do I keep my hands on her breasts?” While trying to correct a mistake in the dancing: Darnell: “You just fucked his hip!” John: “I’m too short!” Darnell: “I’m too short and I got in it!” Let’s say the choreography of our show concentrates on certain body parts: Amy: “My boobs are having a lot of fun in this show.” Again while giving notes to the dance numbers… Darnell: “This is really hurting you Frank, I mean Ryan’s coming from your hole.” To see what all the fuss is about come see Kensington Arts Theatre’s production of The Rocky Horror Show- opening October 23rd! This sounds a lot like a rehearsal of The Nightman Cometh.

I don’t see how there could NOT be moments of levity during the rehearsals, all things considered! So many double entendres…..
Speaking of which, I’m looking forwards to seeing the Kensington version of the show – from the front!

I hope your version went well- I couldn’t make it out there with my own rehearsal but I know my director went out to see it and my costumer also worked on that show.
