Oscar Watch: What Went Wrong … With My Picks

by Patrick on March 8, 2010

Oscar Watch is over for another year, and I’d thought I’d share the stats I’m really proud of:

47 out of 58 films 81%

109 out of 121 nominations 90%

I know I’m clinically insane. Thanks to DCBlogs for picking up my Oscar Picks for all to see- sorry they weren’t on point as I wanted though (16 out of 24), but check out my Oscar post-mortem piece to find out what went wrong.

The Hurt Locker had dominated at the BAFTAs but there’s really no science. I once won an Oscar pool having seen only three of the nominated movies.

Of course you don’t really need to watch all the films to win an Oscar pool- much like you don’t really need to study to win a fantasy baseball league. But I do anyways.
